Sometimes you find the best places as plan B; however, they take the plan A places after seeing them, for instance, Bob Straub State Park.
Fortunately, I had this place on my radar when I arrived at Pacific City, Oregon. I was planning to visit the beautiful Cape Kiwanda; however, that day was so crowded, so I decided to take a look at this place, and I’m glad I did it.
What to see and do
Bob Straub State Park is located in Pacific City, specifically nearby Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area. Both of them with spectacular views with rock formations and dunes!
Mainly this Park is ideal for walking peacefully and explore the beach as well as the Nestucca sand spit. We especially loved the sandy hiking trail, an about one-mile trail that is open to horses as well. We like hiking in unusual trails like this one with grassy dunes and coastal forest!
In regard to the amenities, beyond the hiking trails, this Sate Park provides beach access, parking, picnic area, and restrooms.
Additionally it offers a great opportunity for wildlife watching.
Finally, if you want to plan more trips to Oregon Coast, you’ll find great ideas here. And also for visiting Oregon State Parks check here!
