We continue exploring the beautiful Sandy River and why not, also adding a new park to our list, this time the Glenn Otto Community Park!

What to see and do

Particularly Glenn Otto is located in the City of Troutdale, Oregon, and this 6.38-acre Park is one of the various recreation areas along the Sandy River. Additionally, it’s bordered by the Beaver Creek on the west.

Regarding the activities visitors can do at the park, to enumerate some, picnicking, swimming and water sports are popular there.

And talking about the swimming beaches, they are gorgeous and sandy, and the river clear, however, it’s important to mention that the swift currents are particularly strong.

In particular, for picnicking, there is a Picnic Shelter, and next to it, a Children’s playground to complete the recreational experience.

Summing up with easy access to the river, beautiful beaches, no fees, and being so close to Portland Area, it worth the visit. In our case, we enjoyed our morning on this park, and after our picnic, we headed out to Dabney State Recreation Area.

Finally, if you want to plan more trips for swimming adventures you can find ideas here.
