Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site, a tranquil coastal destination
Arcadia Beach, located between Humbug Point and Hug Point, it’s a beautiful mile-long beach, an ideal Oregon Coast destination for those looking for a peaceful day by the ocean.
While looking for a less crowded option in the Cannon Beach area, we found this coastal gem, Arcadia Beach State Recreation Site.
We loved exploring the beach as well as its tidepool areas!
What to see and do
Located just two miles south of Cannon Beach, Arcadia Beach is a gorgeous and family-friendly mile-long beach. It’s ideal for fun tidepool exploration walks and also for making kids happy playing with the sandcastles for hours.
This beach stretches between two headlands, and during low tide, in the north, Humbug Point can be accessed, and in the south, Hug Point.
With miles of beach to discover as well as the fantastic rock formations and even some caves available, it is an ideal setting to wander around. And don’t forget your camera!
Additionally, you can enjoy your picnic at the tables located next to the parking area or just at the beach, like us that day.
Other activities such as surfing and wildlife watching are also popular here. And of course, swimming if you are brave enough for our Ocean water’s temperatures (My daughter loves playing in that water!).
As shown above, Arcadia Beach is a fantastic place to enjoy a day full of family adventures.
