Pioneer City Park

Pioneer City Park features a new playground with a beautiful forest.

Beautiful park at Sherwood, with an original playground and 2 acres of forest land.

We had this park on our list for several months! That changed when the last Summer we decided to go! (Up to this point, we’ve visited so many parks and natural areas with my kids, so I still have a lot of places to share with you!)

Before going there I tried to look for some photos and reviews (my usual task before visiting places with my kids), but I was a little bit confused at the beginning since some pictures included a totally different playground. Then after some research, I read that the park had a new playground with Treehouse theme.

As a surprise for us, immediately after arriving, we realized this park included a gorgeous forest (kind of magical for us :D), with really cool tree formations. As a result, we played there for hours and since it was a little bit hot that day, the trees were a kind of refuge.

Another classic activity to be included on our trips is having a picnic (we love good snacks after playing) and for that, we found a shelter that is available for reservations too (this park would be an excellent place for a birthday party).

It was a great day together at this lovely park!
